Entrepreneurship Jeopardy November 16, 2017
This event was about quizzes which were based on a famous American quiz show JEOPARDY. It was a fun Jeopardy-style quiz which was specially designed for student entrepreneurs. The main rationale for organizing the quiz was to add a fun factor in the introductory session which was aimed to let students who would associate and be part of IIC family know more about the organization.
E-leader workshop by Mr Ankit Machhar (Wadhwani foundation) November 04, 2017 - November 05, 2017
E-leader workshops are conducted by the Wadhwani foundation every year with PDPU IIC. The two-day intensive workshop conducted by Mr. Ankit Machhar aimed to bring together high-potential student leaders and provide relevant skills and insights which helped them take their Institution’s Startup Club/E Cell/EDC to the next level.
100 Bucks Challenge July 11, 2017
A very well known entrepreneurship game known as 100 bucks challenge was organized in Induction week of School of Liberal Studies (SLS) in which each team was given Rs. 200. Using the seed money the teams had to earn more by doing business on the campus. The objective was to make students know about PDPU IIC and approach us if they have any potential business ideas.

Mike Cassidy, Vice President at GOOGLE visited Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University on 9th April 2017. During his visit to PDPU, he interacted with PDPU IIC where the entrepreneurship scenario, startup culture boosting globally as well as India, etc. was discussed. He also interacted with the startups incubated at PDPU IIC following which, a session with students on “Entrepreneurship: Prospects and Challenges” was arranged.
Bootcamp at Om Engineering college, Junagadh April 07, 2017 - April 08, 2017
PDPU IIC organized boot camp for two days on “Idea generation and Execution” at Om Engineering College, Junagadh. The motto behind the boot camp was to encourage students to pursue entrepreneurship and infuse startup culture. During the two days of the workshop, they were made aware of different aspects of entrepreneurship, idea generation and proper execution of their idea.
Innovation Expedition at S.N.K School, RAJKOT April 04, 2017
Team PDPU IIC visited S.N.K school, Rajkot on 4th April 2017. We collaborated with Innovative Product and Marketing (IPM), an event meant for higher secondary students in order to give them practical insights of the business world. There were 35 teams in total who displayed their prototypes, products, working models, radio jingles, T.V. advertisements along with the entire business plan and the best amongst them were awarded prizes.
Innovation Expedition at Sheth C.N. School, AHMEDABAD March 28, 2017
We visited C.N.School, Ahmedabad on 28th March 2017 in order to harness their student’s creativity into prospective business models. Many students pitched out of the box ideas from which top three projects were awarded with the token of appreciation.

A session by Mr. Guruprakash Iyer of Hermes Management Paradigms LLP was arranged on 22nd March, 2017 to brief attendees about the company and how it could be useful to all the booming startups. Mr. Iyer gave certain suggestions on how to hire candidates, training given to them and much more. He also added that mere finding and screening of candidates are not important but also best negotiation deals are to be done. Mr. Guruprakash Iyer made all the attendees aware about various techniques and tips while selecting proper team mates and taking various steps to increase team building. Lastly Mr. Iyer was felicitated for assisting in the most crucial decisions in an organisation and to teach all the attendees how a great team can make a substantial impact on society.
Techstars Startup Weekend Gandhinagar Febuary 03, 2017 - February 05, 2017
For 54 hours, participants in the Business Weekend powered by GOOGLE for Entrepreneurs get to experience the highs, lows, joy, and pressure that comes with running a startup. In only three days, you can go from forming a team to developing a prototype and pitching it to investors all under one roof. Mentors from the industry came into the session to coach the teams and help them develop their ideas. Judges chose winners from 15 incredible ideas based on consumer validation, execution and design, and business strategy.
Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2017 January 9, 2017 - January 13, 2017
PDPU IIC participated in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit's Trade Show in 2017. A number of our entrepreneurs were given the opportunity to present and demonstrate their unique products and services to the guests at the event. The goal of exhibiting at the summit was to raise awareness among those who have business ideas but lack the resources to pursue them.
